Joseph Dukes is the Founder and Chief Solutions Officer of Palmetto Community Developers. He has a lifelong love for his home state of South Carolina. A native of the small town of Lane, SC, he knows first hand the plight of under-served communities.
Joseph is a graduate of South Carolina State as well as The University of South Carolina’s Master’s of Public Administration program. His specialties include business strategy, affordable housing development, helping businesses access capital and as his wife puts it “believing in your idea more than you do”.
His work experience spans working with several city municipalities including The Cities of Columbia, Orangeburg, Spartanburg, Charleston and countless others around the state. Joseph has also excelled in lending within a Community Development Financial Institution and worked within the Governor’s Office with Small, Women and Minority Owned Businesses.
